Update 02/03/14: Update on Cookie..
I'm back...Cookie backyard breeder survivor! Getting sweeter everyday.Very protective of food and toys..Would do great as an only doggie and with someone that's home most of the time..No children under 12. Would that be you...xoxo Cookie
UPDATED BIO 01/02/2014: Cookie is 9 years old and weighs 10.9 pounds. Cookie is being fostered in North Port, FL.
Cookie was rescued from a puppymill breeder and didn't know what being a loving companion dog was. Foster Mom began picking her up, rubbing her belly and giving her kisses. At first, she didn't respond, but soon started wagging her little tail and kissing both Foster Mom and Foster Dad. Now, she loves to be pampered and fed good quality food.
Cookie has been spayed and had several tumors removed, which were benign - yeah. She will have a dental next week and after a few more weeks of TLC, Cookie will be ready for her forever home. Could it be your's? Cookie sends kisses to everyone who reads about her.
INITIAL BIO 11/17/2013: Meet Cookie! Cookie was the third yorkie to be rescued from a backyard puppymill breeder. The dogs lived in filth and received no human love or affection. She is 9 years old and weighs 10.2 pounds. Cookie is being fostered in North Port, FL.
Cookie is a timid girl (can you blame her?), but she is slowly trusting her new foster mommy. She gives kisses and lets her pick her up. Loud noises or quick movements startle her, but she is slowly figuring it all out and that nobody is going to hurt her ever again.
Cookie has had all her vaccines and is awaiting her dental and spay. She does have a couple of mammary rumors which will be removed and tested. We are very optimistic that they will not be an issue for this little girl in the future. Cookie does need some work on house training, but she is a SMART Cookie (hehe). We believe she will get it in no time.
