Here's what the humans have to say about me:
UPDATED BIO 11/09/2013: Millicent is an adorable 10 year old yorkie princess who weighs 5.4 lbs; she is being fostered in The Villages, FL.
Millie loves life to the fullest! It took her a week or two to get over her severe URI she had in the shelter, but she has been spayed, had a dental (she has one little tooth left, right in the top front – so cute! She has a few molars left as well), and is ready for her forever family to find her. Millie is healthy, and because she is almost toothless, her little tongue peeks out which adds to her cuteness factor. Foster Mom thinks Millie would do well as the only dog in the home so that she can get all the attention she has been missing. Millie will be a wonderful companion to someone who wants a little lap dog. She is a real little sweetheart who deserves a loving forever home. NOTE: Because of Millie’s small size, she can only be adopted into an adult household.
Millie has become quite addicted to one toy in her foster home which makes a whole lotta racket, so she has it only 3-4 times a day – and she really makes use of that time! She will play with OctoPuss (name FM gave it) until she is out-of-breath and just can’t go anymore. It’s so sweet to see this little princess enjoy something so much. She eats like a champion and sleeps all night long. Millie is both house-trained and leash-trained – a very smart little girlie.
Millie would love to have a home for Christmas – can you grant her wish?
UPDATED BIO 10/19/2013: Millicent is an adorable 10 year old yorkie who weighs 5.4 lbs; she is being fostered in The Villages, FL. Note: It was initially thought she was closer to 11-12, but the vet has confirmed that she is probably only 10 years old.
Millie was one of the lucky ones who made it out of the high-kill shelter; she had a very serious upper respiratory infection when she first came out and was miserable…….and grumpy. Now that she feels better, she is a very loving and sweet little girlie – she loves to be with her person and follows her Foster Mom around everywhere she goes. She is both house-trained and leash-trained – isn’t she smart? She gets along with other dogs, but would also do well as an only dog in the home so that she can get all the attention she deserves.
Millie has a sound heart and lungs, but she only has a few teeth left which may have to be removed when she has a dental and spay in a couple of weeks. Because she has few teeth left, her little tongue peeps out of her mouth, which just makes her more precious-looking. It was thought that she had bi-lateral cataracts, but she does not - her eyes are cloudy due to aging, called nuclear sclerosis ~ but she doesn't have any problem getting around. She is very playful, especially with toys, and has a girlie little bark when she gets excited……so cute! She runs around the house just because she can, haha! She will let you know when she needs to go out and does her business right away. Millie will be a wonderful companion to someone who wants a little lap dog. She is a real little sweetheart who deserves a loving forever home. NOTE: Because of Millie’s small size, she can only be adopted into an adult household.
INITIAL BIO 10/6/2013: Millicent is an older gal who somehow found her way into a high kill shelter. She is approximately 11-12 years old and weighs 5.5 lbs; she is being fostered in The Villages, FL.
Millie's heart sounds good as per the vet, but right now she is fighting off a bad upper respiratory infection from the shelter. Millie is house-trained. She is a lap dog, but she isn't feeling well right now. She has only a few teeth left, and we will see eventually when she has her dental and spay if she can keep any. Please send her lots of loving thoughts. Thank you!
