My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Benji found himself in big trouble in a NC shelter. It seems he wasn't showing well and had little chance of being adopted, because the sounds and smells of the shelter just scared him to death! It didn't take him long to snap out of it, though, as you can see he's now a smiling, silly boy.

Benji is a 9-12 month old boy who is looking for his forever family so he never has to be scared and alone again. He weighs under 15 lbs. He responds well to positive reinforcement. When he is unsure he gets close to his person. He is calm and quiet but has no problem keeping up with the play of the bigger dogs!

He is working hard on his housebreaking and doing an excellent job with crate training. He just needs someone to remind him. He has very few problems with accidents now that he can run out with the other dogs when they need to go.
