Here's what the humans have to say about me:
1/20/14 - ADOPTION PENDING!
Adoption Fee: $375
Fostered in Georgia
Age: 4 years
Weight: 9.6 lbs.
11/22/13 - We are finding out that Beau and Miley ARE NOT as bonded as we thought in the beginning. While they have been in their foster home, they have started going their own way and we are starting to see that theirs was a marriage of convenience. Not that they couldn’t be adopted together for someone who wanted two dogs that are brother and sister, but if someone just wants a very sweet male that loves human attention, to be rubbed and petted, Beau is your guy. Beau’s personality is very laid back and he could co-exist with other pups or go to home with no other dogs and get all the attention. He truly wants the attention of his humans and eats it up.
11/6/13 - Miley and Beau were surrendered recently to YHR when their previous family did not have enough time for them. They are brother and sister from the same litter and have very different personalities, but are very bonded, so will have to be adopted together. Please read each of their bios for information about their individual traits.
Beau is very sweet, laid back, loving, sensitive and takes whatever he can get in the attention department and eats it up. He loves sitting on your lap and getting petted. He is the submissive one of the two, but will put Miley in line if he feels she needs it for some reason. Miley will allow this, but acts as if it were “her” idea to stop the unwanted behavior. He does love laying with her and licking on her ears and being the “big brother” so to speak.
Beau and Miley love playing together and play very rough. Both tend to run over the other dogs in the foster home when outside playing. They are just bulls in a china shop when at play and don’t watch for anyone else. Lol They are strong dogs and aren’t the most dainty when mingling with other pups.
It would be best if they were both in a home with NO OTHER DOGS since Miley loves to run the show and even though Beau doesn’t mind this, she tends to try to run everyone in her foster home and it can cause tension. Both are very hearty eaters and will steal food from other pups if they finish first.
Beau is doing well with potty training just as long as he isn’t left too long. He will even use potty pads at times. He will definitely need a fenced in yard to run and play in. They will both alert you to the doorbell ringing at the house or on tv or any other noises that they think aren’t normal.
Beau does well with baths and grooming. He is a good jumper and can get on furniture and isn’t shy about jumping up or down. When on the sofa, Beau will sit by his human or in their lap to be loved on. If in a chair, he and Miley will sit together touching each other. Both do well riding in the car and seem to enjoy it.
These two really complement each other so well and are a perfect match. With these two, you get the best of both worlds, male/female, independent/needy all in one.
If you are looking to add to your home and are open to giving two great dogs a life where they can stay together, please fill out our online adoption application.
