My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Chester is a 9 month old, happy, loving, well socialized border collie puppy possibly mixed with Kelpie (another herding breed). He gets along well with other dogs. He loves children and is very gentle with them. He is an A+ student and graduated intermediate obedience training: sit, stay, come, wait, leave-it, lie-down and heal. He knows these commands but needs more repetition with distraction, distance and duration. He loves to play fetch - yes he returns the ball or anything you throw. Jogging is another favorite activity and he walks nicely on leash. He ran the tunnel and cleared the 3rd hurdle in his first agility lesson. He is dog door trained with good house manners, but would not do well being left alone all day unless he had a play mate. He needs a lot of human interaction and attention (like most border collies). He was lost on the streets when saved by Animal Control. He’s a cautionary tale. Since he was not chipped, his parents could not be found. Now in rescue, he’s chipped, neutered and ready for a new life with someone that will appreciate him. If interested, please complete the puppy questionnaire in addition to the regular application.
