Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Cami is a stunning little dog looking for a place to truly call home. She is only about 4 years old, and spent most of her life locked up in a crate, living on someones deck. Can you imagine the boredom and loneliness this little girl endured! She is an energetic and very agile little dog who would do best with a family, or an individual, who loves to excercise. Agility training would be ideal for her, after some basic training, as she can leap tall buildings at a single bound (no kidding, I think she really can!), and she has learned to retrieve balls and toys for her foster mom at lightening speed. She could very well be one of those dogs that wins the frisbee contests!
Cami definitely prefers women over men, so we think maybe some man was mean to her in her formative years. However, she is smart and dying to please, so some patience will overcome her fear of men. She has never displayed any aggression to any person, and in fact is carefull not to inadvertantly nip her foster mom when playing catch. She is good with older children, especially girls, and is good with most dogs with proper introductions.
Cami does have a strong prey-drive, and will chase animals that run from her. Therefore we will not be placing Cami with cats or small animals.
The key to transforming this wonderful little dog into the gem she wants to be is excercise, excercise, excercise. If you feel you have the right set up for Cami, and can invest the time needed to sort of start over with her as if she was still a puppy, you will be rewarded with a most loyal, grateful, loving, and beautiful little dog
