Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Age: 6 years old
Gender: Male
Meet Joe, or as his foster Mom likes to call him, Joe, Joe.
Joe was rescued by CPR from Animal Care as a stray. Joe had a severe case of flea dermatitis and had several large patches of missing fur, was underweight and appeared as if he hadn’t been bathed in a very, very long time. Joe’s foster Mom even came into the shelter to give him a medicated bath while he awaited his stray hold time, just to make him more comfortable. Shortly after arriving in foster care, Joe developed hemorrhagic gastroenteritis and required 2 vet stays. He is now well on the road to recovery after getting fluids, antibiotics, probiotics and dog food for intestinal health. Joe will need GI focused food for life.
Sweet Joe is super affectionate, loving and very easy going, he gets along with everyone! He gets along exceptionally well with his 3 foster pug and 4 cat siblings and also with various dogs he meets on neighborhood walks. He is great with children and knows how to sit, wait for his food, is house trained as well as walks great on the leash. Joe would fit in wonderfully with any family. He really enjoys his walks, meeting new people, children and dogs. Perhaps what Joe likes best is curling up for a nap at your feet.
A perfect day for Joe would be waking up late to enjoy a leisurely breakfast, a brisk walk around the block, returning home for kisses and cuddle time. Later in the day, he loves to spend quality time with his family, whether you are working in the yard, on your computer, on your tan by the pool or doing a hobby, sweet Joe just wants to be right by your side. He really enjoys the laid back Florida lifestyle!
If your family enjoys spending quiet nights at home watching movies and cuddling, leisurely walks outdoors, taking your 4 legged family members for car rides and outings as well as nap time, you might be the perfect match for gentle and loving Joe! Please fill out the adoption application and ask for Joe.
