Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Veronica's full name is Veronica Barkman Fleabody III, but our staff usually just calls her Roni! She is a sweet young girl who loves to play. She was found as a stray and brought to us under-weight and with severe hair-loss due to a flea allergy. As you can see from the photos, she has made huge progress! Her hair is coming back in and she has begun to put on weight. Veronica is about 3 1/2 years old. She gets along well with other dogs but is exuberant and lacking in a few basic manners. We have been working with her on those and she's catching on fast!
As we are primarily a kennel, her house-training status is unknown, though she keeps her kennel clean most of the time. She has been fixed, is up-to-date on shots, crate-trained and ready to be adopted!
UPDATE 1/7/14: Veronica has really come into her own during the holidays. She is much better on leash and is a very playful girl. She is becoming relaxed enough that she can play with almost any dog we introduce her to! The pictures we have don't do justice to her funny ears, which usually stand up or flop over in every angle imaginable! Her fur has grown back, and while she is technically a dark brindle with white, she looks almost black except for a few small orange ripples on her sides. Come and meet this lovely girl!
UPDATE 10/25/14: Veronica is still waiting for her forever home to come along. She has gone home with a staff member a time or two and was in a foster home for a brief time. We've discovered that Roni does suffer from a touch of carsickness but usually bounces right back. She is a sweet heart and would do great with kids and most other pets!
