My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Gavin is an adorable black and white cocker spaniel that still has his tail. He is guesstimated to be about 3 years old and weighed in at 29 pounds. He is neutered, up to date on vaccinations including bordatella for kennel cough, heartworm negative, and has been micro-chipped. He walks well on a leash, rides well in a car, and gets along well with other dogs. He was terribly matted when he was taken in to the shelter and all his beautiful curls had to be shaved to get rid of the mats. Note: All applications are processed in the order received, but an adoption is made to the best application received for each of our animals. All applicants must provide a vet reference on the adoption application. If you are adopting a dog from ARFA, a fenced in yard for the dog will be required. Home visits often occur on each adoption. ARFA has the right to deny adoption to any applicant for any reason without explanation. Please remember that the adoption fee is not for purchase of a dog, but rather to cover the medical cost of all dogs in our care.
