HISTORY: Joan has been waiting for a new home and someone to love her and give her attention since September of 2013 when she came to the Hazel Park shelter as a stray. Joan is a very high energy dog, and will need a very active household. She will require someone who has bully breed experience and is willing to take her through behavioral training. When she first came to the shelter she had no manners. We have been working on basic training, and leash training. She will now sit on command, and can be walked on a harness. She has puppy energy in an adult body. She can be a little overly excited, but you would be too if you were a young dog stuck at a shelter for so many months! We are confident that in a loving and real home, and with the right person, and right training, that Joan will become a standout K9 citizen, but it will take some time and effort.
She was tested and was heartworm negative. She is UTD on her shots, spayed, and is ready and eager for a home that will give her the love and training she deserves.
