Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Pei Pei came to the shelter as a stray. She was picked up by our police department. She had no collar or chip, and her owner did not come to claim her.
Pei Pei is impeccably house trained, we cannot remember a time that she had an accident in her crate. She is always extremely anxious to get out of her cage and relieve herself...she is SOOOO GOOD!
Pei Pei is a really great dog, but has been at the shelter for too long, and unfortunately, since the shelter has been so full, she has been kept in a cage since she arrived in early August. She is on the large side of medium and really needs more room to move around, but the only 2 dog runs at the shelter have been occupied by bigger dogs.
Pei Pei enjoys playing fetch and tug of war, and also loves to sit next to you and be petted and cuddled. She is eager to please and listens to commands.
A neighbor of her owner came by the shelter to see if the dog we had was his neighbors, he stated that this was the dog. He did not know her name, but said that she was very friendly, loved kids, and got along well with her former owner's cat. She seems to be an alpha female, so if she is with another dog, it should be a submissive dog; and most likely a male. She doesn't seem to mind cats, in fact, she tries to play with them.
Please don't overlook this wonderful girl. She would make a great companion and really wants a loving home.
