Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Updated Bio 03/10/2014: CHLOE MAE is a 9.5 year old 12 lb. Yorkie-Poo girl who is being fostered near Atlanta GA.
Chloe Mae is very sweet and loving and dedicates herself to one person. She loves being near her person, that’s for sure, and can even be a bit protective. She doesn’t like loud voices or drama. She can also be very shy. It appears she has been trained with several basic commands such as sit, stay, shake. She is also almost completely house-trained if there is someone home to take her out often.
Chloe likes to ride in the car and is very well-behaved. She has her own bed and her own house/crate. Her house is her safe place and when she is anxious she will naturally retreat into it. Her perfect home would be one in which there is at least one stay-at-home person since Chloe really loves following her person around but she is well behaved when left on her own. Like most Yorkies, Chloe Mae is a bed dog and likes to sleep with her person. Chloe Mae seems to strongly prefer women. especially women that will take her on nice long walks. She can be very suspicious of most men.
Chloe can be a fear nipper and must be handled gently until a strong bond of trust can be established. This simply means that she cannot be cornered, physically disciplined, or handled roughly. A stern tone or strongly worded reprimand goes a long way. Chloe is not naturally aggressive. but because of this tendency to nip when scared. there can be no children in the home; she also needs an owner who will be firm with positive reinforcement training for this issue. Chloe Mae, however gets along well with other dogs and is the first to make sure that everyone is alright and happy. Chloe’s caring nature even extends to cats.
