Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Nya is a two year old, female pit bull type dog who is currently being fostered in Aumsville, OR (10 mins east of Salem, OR) and is waiting for adoption!
Nya’s foster mom is a dog trainer and Nya has been trained for competitive obedience as well as for many other things. She is the perfect dog for someone looking to do activities with their pet. Nya will pick things up for you and knows many, many tricks. She is excellent with all creatures, she loves people, kids, dogs, cats and even birds. She can be temperamental with dogs though so slow introductions or an only dog home would suit her best.
Nya is UTD on all of her vaccines, is already spayed and microchipped.
Adoption Fee: $100
Contact: Merissa at (503) 779-7985.

A note from Nya's foster mom and trainer.....
Nya is a spayed female pit bull. Backyard bred, 2 years old, micro chipped, physically sound and up to date. Trained on leash, off leash, crate trained, obedience, picks things up for you, waits at door, gate, etc. Excellent recall, loves the tug, ball and will do anything for food. Does not jump on counters or over fences. Will bark at intruders but accepts them when friendly with family. Big snuggler, powerful chewer, chews only dog toys. Gets nervous of strange contraptions that are attached to her (not a weight or cart puller). Loves kids and everyone she knows. Doesn't like strangers all over her though. She tolerates as much as possible then may startle to remove herself from situation.
Does well with family dogs, though is not safe or predictable with dogs. I suggest ONLY dog home. Gets along well with our cat, and other critters we have had in the past. She is very energetic, and a little wild. Her tail is a wicked weapon. Will slam into you when excited. No one with major physical problems or disabilities due to safety hazard. Loves to go for rides, play in the water, hiking, movie watching and playing ball with the kids. If food is left out on the floor, she will eat it. If she is excited and you are not serious, she will completely disregard you.
She needs someone that is as firm when it comes to the rules as they are loving and respectful. If you want a dog that will only live in the house and stay in the house call someone else. She is young and adventurous and should have outlet for play and energy. If you have kids, she may knock them down on accident. If your kids are not rough and tumble, call someone else.
If your friend's dog comes over every weekend, call someone else, UNLESS you are comfortable with crate and rotate. Serious inquiries only.
She is an awesome dog, I do not have the time. She is fine here until someone can offer her a better life. That is why I am posting this ad. I am not rushed to push her out, I am interested in finding someone that can give her more. She came to me as a puppy that had some behavioral and residential issues. She is now good to go!
