Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.

Meet the very sweet Sanford! Sanford was rescued from a high kill shelter in West Tennessee. He is a gentle soul, very nice to walk on leash, very well mannered and great in the car. Sanford loves his toys and anything that you throw for him to chase after. This sweet boy thinks that he is a lap dog and bonds very quickly to his humans. If you sit down, he tries to curl up in your lap for some love and attention.
Sanford is heartworm positive because his previous owners did not keep him on a monthly heartworm prevention, but we are having him treated and he will be good as new very soon. Shelters would normally have a heartworm positive dog put down, but the rescues save them and have them treated so that they can have a second chance at life with a more responsible pet owner. Heartworms are not contageous and are not life altering if they are caught at an early stage and treated. Sanford does not show any clinical signs of heartworm damage and is expected to have a full recovery. He is scheduled for treatment on October 28th and will be available for adoption around the end of November, once he has recovered. This is a very nice pet for a very lucky family. Please consider Sanford as your new companion.
