With ears like these, I suppose I do look a bit like an angel, eh? Well, the better to hear you with, Bucko! Yes, my name’s Angel. And I’m about to turn four years old. Since the age of 7 months, I’ve lived with my Mom, a wonderful, caring senior citizen who, BTW, is an awesome cook. But things are about to change for us, bigtime.

First, I have a confession to make: when she found out that my previous owner kept me caged 24-7, Mom felt it was her duty to make up for all those 7 months of cruelty. And that’s when I recognized an opportunity. I took advantage of her kind, generous nature and refused to eat anything but table food.

And for these past 3 and a half years, I have been making that wonderful woman cook for me. Hey, just because I’m cute, that doesn’t mean I don’t know how to manipulate things to my best advantage. I figured, after all, we little dogs have to always look for leverage wherever we can find it to get along, right? But now Mom’s health is failing her. It’s getting harder and harder for her to keep up with the demands of feeding me and getting me out for my daily walks. And I feel guilty as heck for pushing her so hard.

So I’m gonna make it easier for her. I’m gonna find another home and let her concentrate on her own survival for a change. It’s gonna break both our hearts to split up, but considering the situation, the handwriting’s on the wall. I’m a purebred Chihuahua in the prime of life, albeit a bit pudgy at 9lbs. (must be all that home cooking). I should be very adoptable. So here’s my vital stats: I’m spayed, up to date on shots, housebroken and good with other dogs. I haven’t met a cat yet, so who knows how that would go? I’m a little shy when I first meet new people, but everyone says I warm up nicely.

I’m white and peachy-tan. I love veggies and meats and my Dingo rawhide chews. In my next chapter, I suppose I can even be convinced to eat dog food…..I don’t want to wear out another owner! I enjoy playing with toys and snuggling on the couch, watching TV and sleeping in the bed under the covers. Please just don’t ask me to live in a cage again and don’t ask me to babysit. I am NOT interested in raising children for anyone, thank you very much.
