Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Please be mindful that some of the photos and videos of dogs are taken when they are new to the rescue. They have just been spayed/neutered, often do not feel that good, and have been displaced from owners having been lost. In addition, they do not like having their photos taken. The personalities of all of the dogs DO eventually come out, but please make allowances for photos/videos that often do not depict the full potential and personality of any of the dogs within the rescue.
Raven is a beautiful 6-year-old German Shepherd/Collie mix rescued from the Devore Animal Shelter on her last day. Being age 6, she is past the nonsense and is just a nice, very house-broken, non-destructive dog. Raven is a warm dog, gentle and loving, with a calm demeanor. She is cautious and tentative at first with everyone she meets, but after a day or two, she will become your attentive follower. She will be slower to bond to a male vs. a female owner. She is a good walker on the leash and will also trot alongside you nicely for a short run. She looks for pet beds and will hang out with you on a nearby pet bed while you watch T.V. or sit and work at your computer. She will also sleep by your bedside throughout the night on her own pet bed and be very chill. Raven is fully potty-trained (however potty reinforcement is needed in any new environment). She is also crate-trained but a crate is really not needed in her case. Raven has not been destructive nor is she a digger or a nuisance barker. She will bark protectively and is a very smart dog, learning quickly to the routine or rules of the house. She lives in a foster home with an older (senior) female Golden Retriever and a female Cocker Spaniel/Poodle mix. She is fine with other dogs however certain dogs that are “in the face” and do not respect personal space boundaries seem to make her more nervous than calmer, more socialized dogs. She would do fine as the only dog in the home.
Raven has been to the vet for a vet check and she’s had her hips, knees, elbows, ears, eyes, teeth, lung and heart all check out fine. She is spayed, fully vaccinated including rabies, de-wormed and micro-chipped. If you are looking for a nice companion who will be loving, quiet, and calm in the house, please consider Raven! Raven is not a yard dog. She enjoys hanging out with her people, and will only be adopted as an indoor dog (with some outdoor access). If you are interested in Raven you may contact Janet Cook of the Angel’s Heart Dog Rescue at: adopt@angelsheartdogrescue.com or phone: 626-340-9316.
