My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Guten Tag! My name is Klein. I am a purebred, long-haired, mini-dachshund. That's really a mouthful. All you really need to know is that I'm beautiful and wonderful! You'll love my beautiful red coat and my designer ears, they're black with red highlights! You may want to know that I'm about 2 – 3 years old and I weigh 14 pounds.
Although I'm new to my foster home, I bonding quickly with my new mom. She carried me around and let me slowly explore the backyard. I like taking new things nice and slow. There are two other dogs here. At first I wasn't so crazy about that, but now we all just hang out and chill together. I am a “people” dog. I like to be around people, either in their lap or close by. I'm resting on the chair now, close to my foster mom. I don't bark much at all. I do like going for walks, so I need a new home that comes with a leash. Oh, and I already know all about going to potty outside, no problem.
I'm still trying to figure out where to sleep. I kinda still miss my old home, but I'm getting used to this one. They loved me a lot and I slept with them, under the covers of course. That's where I like it, but as I said, I'm still warming up to these new digs. I'll just need a few days to settle in. I'm super smart, so I'll let you know what makes me happy.
