My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Phoenix is a Standard grey male chinchillas. He is a very shy chinchilla who needs a lot of time to warm up to you.  He is very cautious about new people and will stay back and observe till he feels comfortable.  He does not like to have people watch him while he is on his wheel and you may never see him on it, but you will hear him.

Phoenix is a fur chewer.  While he has improved a lot since coming into the rescue he should always be considered a fur chewer.  Fur chewing happens for a variety of reason and doesn't harm the chinchilla.  It just makes them look like they have been given a hair cut by a toddler.
