My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Woody is an outgoing and friendly Beagle that typically greets everyone he meets with great enthusiasm and full body wags. He's about a year old and weighs 20-25 pounds. Woody is current on routine vaccinations, heartworm negative (on monthly preventative), neutered, crate trained and microchipped. Woody gets along with other same-sized dogs and loves to run and play with his foster Beagle buddies. He is making strides toward becoming housetrained in his foster home but will need reinforcement in order to achieve success. He enjoys going for walks but needs to improve his leash skills as he tends to pull a lot. With patience and practice he is already showing improvement. Woody really is a great little Beagle!


Important: Woody is not at a shelter where you can go to meet him. All Safe Hounds Beagles are cared for in a loving foster home. Prospective adopters MUST submit an adoption application and be pre-approved before meeting a dog. Submitting an application does not guarantee you will be approved. We do not accept applications for specific dogs. Once an application is approved, we’ll begin a matching process—the right dog for the right home.
