I know what you’re thinking………Another possessive little Chihuahua who lost her owner, drifting, waiting to find another person who will understand me and give me a home. You’re 100% right, my friend. I am the poster child of insecure, lonely Chihuahuas. My Dad owned me for all of my 11 years, and when we lived together, there was nothing I wouldn’t do for him; and he for me. We had such a fabulous relationship! I watched over him and let him know if evil lurked at the door. I snuggled up next to him at night, sharing his bed and his dreams. We snacked together, enjoyed the same TV shows together…….we were a team, our own little family. The one day, Dad left for the hospital and never came home. Just like that, I went from beloved companion to displaced waif.

A well-meaning friend of Dad’s tried to help me. She brought me into her home and did her best to fill the void. But she isn’t well, and now she has all she can do to take care of herself. So we gradually drifted apart as I watched her struggling to deal with her own problems. Finally, she reached out to The Animal Support Project, asking them to help me find the home she knows I wish for and deserve. With their help, I am learning to trust again.

Neutered, microchipped, housebroken and vaccinated, I’m prepared to start over and face the future with the right person.
