Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Bear is a handsome, long-coated young adult, ~ 5 years old. He likes attention and wants to tell you so.... he even likes being brushed. He plays with a ball and will play fetch with just a little coaxing. He also plays with other dogs, though he really enjoys being inside.
Bear does have one dislike... men. Apparently he was mistreated by one early on and still doesn't trust some that he encounters. He would be best in a home where male visitors are infrequent.
Bear was rescued from an Alabama shelter after his owner moved away, abandoning him without regard for his care. He was uncertain of people's intentions at first but has developed a level of trust while in foster care. Bear had to be treated for heart-worms, as so many rescues do but is now completely healthy and available to the right home.
