Our 3-year old white Shepherd mix was born into the horrific surroundings of a hoarder. Rescued in July, 2013 along with 130 other dogs, Georgette quickly learned to appreciate consistent feedings, but was hesitant to allow human interaction or touch. After two months of patient rehabilitation, Georgie began to allow small amounts of human contact. At first it was a brief touch. Over time, it built to tummy rubs and ear scratches.
Georgie is a sweet and sassy young girl who has learned to love her walks and is learning to play with toys. She is a very social creature – always wanting to meet other dogs to see if they are interested in playing with her. She rides well in the car and loves special treats fed by hand. Georgette has turned from once a “feral animal” into a beautiful companion ready to find her forever home.
