Stunningly gorgeous Skyrocket was surrendered to a shelter in Virginia along with his sister, Lucy. Skyrocket is approximately 5 years old and a larger male at 65 pounds. He’s one handsome Jindo and turns heads whenever he’s out strutting down the streets of NYC. Skyrocket has been professionally trained with basic obedience. Our behavioral trainer had fun working with Skyrocket and says that he has great potential. Skyrocket loves to work and would do very well with agility or other activities. Skyrocket is a bit reserved when he meets someone new but warms up quickly and becomes a big loveable dog in no time. His sister has been adopted and Skyrocket was in a foster to adopt situation. That all changed when his foster had to make a career change. Unfortunately, the new job requires heavy travel and Skyrocket needs a family to be around as much as possible. Skyrocket is good with other dogs but we don’t know how he is with cats. He’d do best with older children. Jindos like Skyrocket aren’t found in rescue very often. Don’t pass this gem of a dog up!
Jindos are a rare breed from Korea and researching the breed is highly recommended. Experience with Akitas, Shiba Inus, Sharpei, Chows, Siberian Huskies, Alaskan Malamutes, Samoyeds, American Eskimos and a similar Spitz breed is preferred.
