My story

Dewey waited at the Tipton shelter for three months before we were able to get him. The staff loved him so much that they told me there was no way they were putting him down until we had a space to pull him.

Update - 11/8/07: Dewey is very sweet and extremely affectionate! He is great with other dogs and has been around a petite 6 year old little girl as well as a 7 year old boy and was wonderful with them both -- he's very calm and easygoing. He is a big marshmallow of a boy, and will be a great addition to someone's family!

Dewey is currenly boarding at our partner vet clinic in Memphis, TN. Due to a shortage of foster homes in our area, we will not be able to transport Dewey to our area until he has a committed adopter. We are part of a rescue network that works so save dogs from the Tipton County Animal Shelter in Brighton, TN. Prior to rescue help, the euthanization rate for dogs and puppies was 90%. In the last year and a half, we've been able to place over 300 dogs into loving forever homes.

We realize that adopting a dog sight unseen is not for everyone, but we are absolutely committed to making the best match for both our dogs and our families.
