Snoopy is an adorable little tricolor female Beagle that was found wandering along the road. She was not wearing a collar or other idenfication. Nobody inquired about a lost Beagle and efforts to locate her owner or any information about where she came from have been unsuccessful. Snoopy is approx. 1-2 yrs. old and weighs about 25 pounds. She is calm and friendly, good with other dogs (large and small), and cats. She is fine with young children, but she is a sensitive little girl and if they get loud and rambunctious she get scared and wants to hide. She has
never been "nippy" or agressive in any way, but would seem to prefer a quiet environment . Snoopy is current on routine vaccinations, heartworm neg. (on monthly preventative), and microchipped. She will be spayed before going to her forever home. Snoopy is crate trained and is working on becoming reliably house trained, however she will need some reinforcement in a new environment. Her foster mom reports that she's a very smart girl and is doing well with the basic obedience commands she has been teaching her (sit, come, etc.). Please check back soon for updated photos and more information about Snoopy.
Important: Snoopy is not at a shelter where you can go to meet her. All Safe Hounds Beagles are cared for in loving foster homes. Prospective adopters MUST submit an adoption application and be pre-approved before meeting a dog. Submitting an application does not guarantee you will be approved. We do not accept applications for specific dogs. Once an application is approved, we’ll begin a matching process—the right dog for the right home. If you are unable to adopt at this time, please consider helping us so that we may continue to help them. We have dogs with medical needs and many hungry Beagles to feed. We are always in need of dog food and other items from our wish list as well as financial support to help us care for our dogs.
