Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Update 11/13/13: Benji is ready to find his forever home! He has been cleared from his heart worms and is as happy as can be. Benji is a 15 pound Yorkie mix. When UYR rescued Benji, he was heart worm positive. UYR made it possible for him to get treatment.
Benji is doing great. He loves to play and run in the backyard. He enjoys playing with his foster brother. They will play, roll, run and play some more! It's fun to watch! Benji has not met a stranger - he loves everyone he meets, dogs included! He will steal kisses given any opportunity. Benji sleeps in his crate at night, but would really enjoy sleeping with his person. He is the sweetest dog and would make a great companion.
Update 10/14/13: Since Benji has been in his foster home, his sweet personality has shown. Benji is a little lover and enjoys being curled in a person's lap. He is very happy, and loves to play and run!
Benji has gone through two heart worm treatments. He still needs to be calm and quiet for a couple more weeks. He has done great! His foster mom can't wait to let him run free in the backyard.
Benji gets along great with his foster sibling. It is so sweet to see all of them curled up on the couch together taking a little nap.
Benji would make a fabulous companion! He needs someone that can match his playfulness and that will allow him to run and play.
If Benji is not the right dog for you, please consider making a donation to UYR. Because of your contributions, UYR is able to save more dogs like Benji.
UPDATE 09/06/13: Benji is a fun loving little man! He is a happy dog that loves to play. He is also a love bug and enjoys being in the same room as his human.
He has had his first round of heart worm treatment and is doing great. Benji would love nothing more than to run outside and play with his foster siblings. But for now, he must rest. In the time that we have had him, we've noticed that he gets along great with other dogs and is good with kids. He met a cat on a walk, was interested, but seem startled and want to chase.Benji would make a someone a great companion. Please consider donating to this sweet boys heart worm treatment.
INITIAL BIO 08/07/13: Benji is a 4 year old male that is full of happiness! He bounces around his foster home with such joy and excitement. Although he loves to play with his foster siblings, he is also content to curl in his bed and sleep away.
Benji is up to date on all vaccinations. He is heartworm positive, so United Yorkie Rescue will be facilitating his treatment. The vet says his prognosis is very good.
In the short time that he has been with his foster family, Benji seems to be house trained. He gets along great with his foster brother & sister and seems to do great around older kids.
Please consider making a donation on Benji's behalf. It's through donations that URY can save dogs like Benji.
