Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
----- Burt is currently in a foster home. If you would like to meet with him, please feel free to call and set up an appointment! -----
Burt was dumped with his buddy Ernie, and the two of them were found scavenging in a trash heap. They are not particularly attached to one another and can be adopted separately.
Burt is a brown American Cocker Spaniel, we estimate between 8-10 years old. He has heart problems that are complicated by a heartworm infestation. Annie's is paying for his heartworm treatment, and he is doing very well, but he is unable to handle anesthesia and will probably not ever be able to be neutered due to his advanced age, so we will be screening potential adopters carefully.
****UPDATE - Burt has completed his heartworm treatments and is now heartworm free! This resilient little guy pulled through like a champ and is eagerly waiting for his second chance at being a beloved family member!
Burt very much likes people, and would make a fantastic companion for a low-activity household. This senior boy has been at the rescue for quite some time, and would love to have a foster or forever home where he could curl up on the couch and snuggle.
