My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Skippy is everything a young Papillon should be. Of course, he is adorable. He is also very curious and alert, active, and loving. He can be a lap dog but he also needs lots of exercise and stimulation. He loves to fetch a tennis ball (which barely fits in his mouth) and to play with toys. In a pinch, he will play with your hand.

Skippy is around 18 months old and has not yet gotten his adult coat. He is a beautiful sable boy who weighs 5-6 pounds. He has thin bones and is thus fragile but you can’t tell him that. He jumps like a kangaroo. Because he could so easily be injured with rough handling, Skippy should not go to a home with small children. Older children would probably be great. He gets along with other dogs but, again, he should not go to a home with a big dog.

This little boy has one bad habit: he is an escape artist. His new home should have a very securely fenced yard and he should never be left outside alone (this is true of all Papillons, as their size makes them targets for coyotes, hawks and owls).

Skippy is neutered and will have had all his shots when he goes to his forever home. He will only be adopted in San Diego, Orange or Los Angeles County. If you are interested in adopting Skippy, email us at paprescuesocal@gmail.com and request an adoption application.
