Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Bio Update 9/14/13 : Willa had a Home Visit today, but unfortunately it didn't go as we had hoped. Of the two dogs in the home, she was fine with the larger one, but she did frighten their Yorkie. We came to the conclusion, that it wasn't meant to be. I have this feeling, that being on a leash makes her act out...she isn't vicious, just the barking and acting tough! She actually backs down with my dogs.
I was surprised at how much she barked and seemed not to like them. When I first brought her home from the breeder, she was great with our four dogs and 2 fosters and my husband and I. She was in our backyard, and we let all the dogs out at once...all were wonderful!
She might be fine with a dog that is confident. She definitely needs to get out and about with people and other dogs. But she needs an owner that can show her the correct way to act.
A fenced yard is a must. She also needs a lot of work, in going places without barking at every dog and most people. I also found out that she does not like motorcycles. One went by us on the highway, and she went crazy! She will also jump out of an open car window.
The new home must have experience with dogs, and any children must be over 15 years old. Taking her to a trainer would also be a good idea.

Bio Update 8/29/13: Willa is a 3 year old, 11.8 lb. Morkie (Maltese/Yorkie mix). I'm so proud of her, she lost 1.1 lbs. so far! Willa was beautifully groomed on 08/13, and she was spayed on 08/14/2013. I will be bringing a urine sample to my vet tomorrow (08/29), to make sure her UTI has cleared up.
Willa loves cuddling, toys, being goofy, going for walks, and being in the water. If you have a pool and you're in it, she will jump in and join you, so you need to keep an eye on her. She is a good swimmer.
When Willa was no longer wanted by her owner, he dumped her at a backyard breeders. She spent several months there, not being cared for.
She is great with my 4 dogs, and 2 other foster dogs. She is also so great with us! She didn't bark or show any fear, at all! But, when I took her to the vet the first time, she barked at everyone and every dog, because she wanted them to stay away...she was afraid. A treat in your hand, and letting her come to you, is a good way for her to start to trust.
She needs a Forever Home, that will take her to dog friendly places to reacquaint her with dogs and people. Willa did better each time I brought her along to the vet. The third time she let a golden-doodle and miniature poodle approach her, and she did well.
Another playful dog or two, would be nice. She's fine being left alone, if you work outside the home. She is house-trained, and I believe potty pad trained also. If there are children in the home, they need to be 12 or older...but she might be very good with younger children...so don't let this stop you from filling out an application...if you live close enough to me, I would bring her for some visits. A fenced yard is a must!
Willa is such a wonderful girl!! Please fill out an application if you feel you could be the right fit for Willa.
Initial Bio 8/19/13: Hi, Willa here! I am a 3 year old, 12.9 lb. Morkie (Maltese/Yorkie mix). Foster Mom thought I was 15 lbs., but she was Wrong!
I went to veterinary doctor on 08/12/2013 and had a full work up. My urine sample showed a urinary tract infection (UTI). I just finished taking Clavamox to clear it up.
Other than that small issue, I am one healthy girl! Oh, did I forget to mention that I have "Movie Star" teeth!! :-) I am getting groomed today, so come back later and look at my "After" picture!
Tuesday the 20th, I am being spayed!! That means I will be all ready for my "Forever Family"!! But FM still wants to see how I am with children...but I sure seem like a kids kind of girl... Wags! Willa
