Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hey...my name is Felix! I am a big guy at about 75 pounds -brindle in color and am mostly a Boxer with a little bit of something else thrown in. I have been neutered and had all my shots and tests and am in great health. I am crate trained and house trained and I ignore cats. I would prefer to have a female dog companion at my new home but mostly I am just looking for really nice, good people. I want to do some training with my new family and a real trainer- I already know how to sit but would like to know more. A guy like me would really like to be an educated, well trained dog.
I am a young guy with a ton of energy and need a place where I can run around in a fenced yard. I always come when I am called as I am so happy someone wants to see me.
Despite my size, when it comes to nighttime, I like nothing better than to sleep near my people.
I had a very sad time last autumn ...I was super scared and didn't know if I was going to be alright.
You see I was tied to a tree at my last house, my owner was sick for awhile and then he died leaving me still tied to that tree all alone. For weeks I was tied to that tree even when Hurricane Sandy's torrential rain & winds blasted Cleveland for 4 days. There I was- Felix- tied to that tree. Almost starved to death & weakened by infection , I was taken to the pound where they tried to feed me and make me safe. I just couldn't hold any food in my body. I was taken in by Brown Dog Rescue at the last moment of my life - I can still remember that happy day. It took me 3 months to put weight back on my frail body.
No one believes I am the same dog that was tied to that tree, but that is why I want to be with my folks at night. It just makes me feel better. I just want to forever be.... a safe, happy Felix .
If you are looking for a really cool dog, give my people a call and they will set it up so you can meet me.
Thanks a bunch,
Felix
