Get along with other dogs? Lived with two other dogs his entire life but not been exposed to many outside the home.  Will need a proper intro.

Get along with kids? Yes

Has this dog been around children under age 3? Yes

If yes, how do you feel he/she reacted? Rowdy does fine with kids. He is a little playful and due to his size tends to knock the littler ones over but not in an aggressive way.
Get along with all people? Yes
Weight now? Approx. Approx 80lbs

Weight full grown? Same

Walks on Leash? Yes, but he does pull. Will need continued work in this area.
Housebroken? Yes
Personality?  Rowdy is the alpha male and only male of the three dogs I have.  I think he thinks he rules the roost but as big as he is, he is nothing more than a big baby.  He is so cute and the personality of a goofball.  When they were just puppies, Rowdy was considered the runt, but he was the biggest…Rowdy has never really acted like a boy dog and still doesn’t lift his leg to go potty.   He only had girls to watch, so he squats like a girl.  He runs like a deer, both legs leaving the ground together.  He would like to think the furniture is his bed.  He is will definitely steal your heart.

List good traits : Rowdy has the natural intimidating look of the breed and the size of a stocky Great Dane so even though he is not aggressive by nature, he gives off the impression that he is a good guard dog and protector.  He is very loveable and will provide you with good companionship.  He listens well and would do very well with more attention and training.  He aims to please.
Any Health Issues? None

Any bad habits? He likes to play with rocks and sometimes digs to find them.   Even though he is leash trained, he is not leash “trained”.  When taking him for a walk, it’s more like him taking you for a walk.
Trained to what commands? Sit and Shake
Like Doggy Parks? Never been

Was this dog abused and how? No
Has this dog ever bitten anyone? No
Any dog aggression problems? No
Any anxiety separation problems? No.

Does this dog need a fenced in yard? Yes
Who would be the best kind of owner for this particular dog? A big yard, country would be good.  And someone who could spend time with him.  He is such a loving dog and just wants to be part of the family.

Is this dog crate trained?   Yes

Where does he/she stay when left home alone? If the weather is nice, he is outside during the day if it is not, he is in an area that is confined by a gate in my home.

Where does he/she sleep? Indoors in the same confined area.

Application and home visit required.  Adoption fee is $200.
