Here's what the humans have to say about me:
UPDATED BIO 09/22/2013: ITTY BITTY is an almost 7 year old yorkie, weighing just over 4 pounds, and being fostered in Leesburg, FL. PLEASE NOTE: Itty Bitty and his brother Spanky came into rescue together and are bonded; they must be adopted together.
Itty Bitty and his brother Spanky have been in their new foster home for almost a month now and can't understand why no one seems to want them and give them their forever home. After all, aren’t two yorkies better than one yorkie?
Itty Bitty is on a special Rx diet of low-protein food. His special food costs no more than any high quality dog food. He also gets a prescription medication Lactulose two times a day and wants you to know he swallows it down like a trooper. He says to tell you he's such a good boy. He hopes you won't think he's too expensive because of his special diet. A big 16 oz bottle of Lactulose will last him for a very long time, and is only about $25.00. A 17 pound bag of his food is $60.00, but that will last little Itty probably close to 6 months. So really his special-needs diet will cost less than $15 a month. That's a great deal for such a great dog!
Itty has done super with his house-training. He knows he is supposed to do all his business outside, and he does. He would rather sleep with his people on their bed, but does great sleeping all night in his crate. He will even sleep-in most mornings with his brother Spanky if no one wakes them up too early. Itty gets along with the other dogs and even the cats in his foster home. But it is his humans that he loves the most. He will do anything to sit on his humans’ lap and cuddle with them. He'll even burrow his way under his FM or FD's arm to get in close. Itty is a really sweet and loving lap dog. If you let him, he will be your little shadow.
Itty Bitty and Spanky want so desperately to be your forever furbabies. They will love you and cuddle with you every day of their lives. Adopt these wonderful little guys and your life will be filled with double the joy, double the fun, double the happiness, and double the love. They are hoping so much you will make them yours! You'll never regret it, ever. Because of their small size, Itty Bitty and Spanky cannot go to a home with children under 14 years old.
UPDATED BIO 08/25/2013: Itty Bitty and his brother Spanky have been in their new foster home for a little over a week now and what great things do we have to tell you. First and best of all…….both Itty Bitty & Spanky are totally house-trained! There have been no accidents in the house and all their business is done outside in the backyard. They have not lifted their leg once inside the house ~yeah! What smart little boys!
Itty loves to lie around and cuddle with his people. He is not very playful with the other dogs, though he seems to enjoy watching them play. He would rather sit on his Foster Mom or Dad's lap and be held and cuddle ~ a true lap dog. Laps are his most favorite place in the world. Itty Bitty does like to go outside and he follows the other dogs into the backyard. He runs around the yard smelling and sniffing to find his favorite spots. He can now go up the back steps from the backyard into the house, but hasn’t quite mastered going down yet; he’s working on that. He is a little unsure of himself and his balance.
Itty sleeps all night in his crate with his brother, Spanky. Itty and Spanky often don't wake up until their Foster Dad gets them up after 7:00 in the morning. They are such good boys.
Itty is on a special Rx diet which has kept him very healthy. His food is easily obtained from the vet and is no more expensive than any good high quality dog food. He is also on 1 ml of Lactulose twice daily which has really helped with his balance and health.
Itty Bitty and Spanky went to the groomer's yesterday. The groomer could not get over what a pretty boy he is. Itty was so good he got to wear a Super Hero bandana home.
Itty Bitty and Spanky must be adopted together. Don't let Itty's age or special diet scare you away. He is such a sweet, lovable and adorable angel that anyone would be lucky to have him for their own. A fenced yard and a person who is home a lot with a lap always available would be the perfect forever home for Itty. Maybe you are just that lucky perfect person to give sweet little Itty Bitty and his brother Spanky their forever home. Because of their small size, Itty Bitty and Spanky cannot go to a home with children under 14 years old.
UPDATED BIO 08/16/2013: Itty Bitty and Spanky are 6.9 year old bonded litter mates. Itty Bitty weighs 4 lbs and Spanky weighs a chubby 7 lbs; these adorable little boys are now being fostered in Leesburg, FL.
Itty Bitty has settled into his new foster home with his brother Spanky ~ it is like they have been there forever. Itty Bitty immediately made friends with the other little dogs in the home and decided he likes all the smells in the backyard and proceeded doing his business there. He has come a long way in his house- training and uses the backyard most of the time. He still wears a belly band in the house, but he seems to need it less often. We will continue to work on house-training.
Because Itty Bitty's gait and balance are sometimes unsteady, he is the perfect lap dog. He has already taken up residence on his Foster Mom and Dad's laps whenever it is available. Still, when he is in the backyard he runs around and follows his friends everywhere. He keeps up just fine with all his fur buddies. He is very friendly, sweet and lovable. He is affectionate and likes to give kisses. He likes his bath and doesn't mind being groomed one bit as you can see from his very handsome pictures. He rides well in the car. FM & FD are going to start working on walking on a leash very soon.
Itty Bitty is crate-trained and sleeps all night in his crate. He also likes to have his meals delivered to his crate. He is currently on a special low protein diet, but FM will work with her vet to see if he can be weaned off that in the days to come.
Itty Bitty and Spanky need to be adopted together. Because of their small size, they cannot be adopted into a home with children under 14 years of age. As his foster parents get to know Itty Bitty and Spanky more, watch for updated bios.
If you would like to have these two wonderful little fellas as your own, you won't be sorry. They will be your best buddies and love you forever. Fill out an adoption form – do it now! They are so looking and wanting their forever home. Maybe it will be yours…..
