Misses Ella,
Ella came- like many of my dogs- from a High kill shelters in CA. She was found stray at the age of about 4 mos.
Ella has calmed down a lot and is now 8 mo. old, weights about 51lbs (and she is always hungryJ), is a goofy and playful girl that still has to learn a lot and she is so eager to please you. She does mean it well ALL The Time, and she just wants to let you know that she loves you and everyone else and in her effort to express her joy she can be a handful occasionally.
Thus a family with younger children needs to be aware and make sure that ELLA does not jump on the children when playtime and excitement is present. But again HUGE progress has been done over the last weeks. And she is so EAGER to please. When breakfast and dinner comes around – she is the first to sit and wait until it is her turn. And then the food- there is nothing better than food for her which results in fast eating. The future adopters have to continue to work on this. She is living with 4 big dogs and 3 cats – and she loves it but in order to get her attention and focus a calmer (less furry impacted) household would benefit her – basically more 1-on-1 time.
She definitively knows the word “NO” combined with a very firm voice. She is an active girl, loves to run next to a scooter and burn energy off, or kayak and hike. When nobody pays attention to her she has this cute way to entertain herself with throwing toys up in the air, catching them and dragging them around. When you watch her doing this you cannot resist her innocence and gentle character. Next best thing is falling happily asleep on the sofa next to you. Physical touch and affection means the world to her.
When the right person comes along – ELLA will conquer that heart.
