Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Update 8/16/13: Meet sweet little Owen!
Owen is an adorable 8lb, 1 1/2 year old Yorkie-mix. Owen was recently rescued from a local pound by our volunteers. He is staying in a foster home until he finds his 'forever home'.
Owen's mom says he is a fantastic house guest. He is "super loving and always wants to sit on your lap." Owen is also a smart cookie, quickly learning to sleep quietly in his crate at night. He is still working on his housebreaking, but with a little consistent training we know he will ace that test in no time!
Owen enjoys playing and running around the yard. Loves people! Loves other dogs! He is just FULL of love for everything in life.
Interested in meeting and possibly adopting this dog? Fill-out an online adoption application via www.sadiemaefoundation.org. $300 adoption donation, reference check and home visit are required prior to adoption.
While in the care of the Sadie Mae Foundation, all animals are fully vaccinated, heart worm tested and spayed or neutered. Other medical treatments may be provided to our animals, depending upon their specific needs.
In addition, this animal has been microchipped for identification purposes through HomeAgain's® Chip FurKeeps program. Adopters are required to pay the additional one-time,$10.99 microchip registration fee (which lasts the lifetime of the animal) upon adoption.
Info. about Sadie Mae Foundation's adoption process Please note that we do not ship animals or do same-day adoptions. Additionally, we ordinarily limit adoptions to homes within CT or no more than an hour or so drive from Hartford, CT in order to be able to conduct a home visit and provide follow-up assistance when necessary. Exceptions are considered on a case-by-case basis.
We try to make our adoption process as easy and painless as possible, but please understand where we are coming from and all of the work that goes into rescuing and rehoming homeless animals. We don't want them to go through this again. Visit www.sadiemaefoundation.org to learn about the adoption process in detail.
