Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Snowy… she is 8 years young and is starting two new chapters in her life, in January she was diagnosed with diabetes and is almost blind; and she is looking to start a new chapter with a new home, maybe yours! Snowy needs insulin shots twice a day and eye medicines which are easy to give. Despite her failing sight she can still make a trip up and down the stairs, loves to play with toys, Snowy is a great snuggler and most likely she will be waiting for you at the door whenever you are expected home at a set time. Snowy is now stabilized on her insulin, she is up-to-date on her shots, potty trained, she is also crate-trained, but Snowy is a little nervous when she first gets in the car but then she settles in. She is now at a healthier weight of 16.5 pounds than the 13.1 pounds when we first rescued her, thanks in large part to her raw diet of Northwest Naturals. At her foster home she has many foster siblings however she really would do best in a home with one sibling who is male (which she used to have one in her prior life) or a female who is well-established. Definitely no cats, as Snowy feels that cats are her personal toys.
If you would like more information on SNOWY please contact GLWR at westierescue@mchsi.com. Please familiarize yourself with the Westie breed to be certain these terriers are a good match for your family. Adopters should understand that our Westies will need an adjustment period to settle into their new home. GLWR, Inc. requires a completed application (available online at www.greatlakeswestierescue.org), personal references, a vet reference, and a home visit. GLWR is an all-volunteer non-profit corporation, an adoption donation of $300.00 helps support our rescue program. Be sure to visit us on Facebook!
