My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I NEED A GODPURRENT!

This CAT is a member of our Permanent Foster program, and is happily living in a foster home willing to care for her.  If you would like to help with the cost of care for cats in this program, please consider becoming a 'godpurrent.'  For as little as $25 per month, you can help provide veterinary care and food for a special needs cat. Donations can be made by regular mail or online using Paypal.  https://www.fandfnm.org/become-a-godpurrent.html

For more information, please send an e-mail to felinesandfriendsnm@yahoo.com

HISTORY: NINA and her littermates NAAZ, NABILA, NADIA 2, NADIRA, and NILS were rescued with their mother from a feral cat colony in Santa Fe during one of our Trap, Neuter & Release (TNR) operations. While the mama was spayed and returned to the colony, the kittens showed promise for becoming social and adoptable and indeed NADIA, NADIRA and NILS have been adopted.
TEMPERAMENT: NINA is a playful and social, but on her terms. NINA has proven to be difficult to place due to her 'bi-polar' personality. NINA is a beautiful girl with a short, mostly-white coat and brown tabby patches on her forehead, back and tail.
AGE: born approx. 4/30/13
MICROCHIP #: 981020009557753
DATE OF STERILIZATION: 8/22/13
VAX RECORD: Rabies: exp. 08/15/25; FVRCP: exp. 11/6/25
FELV/FIV test: 8/22/13, neg/neg

More about this rescue

Felines & Friends is dedicated to rescuing and placing pets in need of a second chance; working towards zero pet overpopulation by facilitating low-cost spay/neuter; and improving the lives of both companion animals and their owners through on-going education.

In recent years, significant strides have been made in reducing the euthanasia rate of dogs and cats all across the nation. FELINES & FRIENDS plays an important role in this effort by supporting community TNR efforts, spaying/neutering and then rehoming unaltered stray and surrendered cats, and (through collaboration with local shelters) rehoming otherwise homeless or special needs cats and kittens. Since its formation in 2002, FELINES & FRIENDS has gained a reputation in Northern New Mexico for its proactive work in the pairing of cats and their humans. To date, we have placed over 6,000 cats (and dogs) into loving homes.

FELINES & FRIENDS utilizes a comprehensive adoption screening process to enhance the fit between pet and their adoptive family. The organization also maintains a strict return policy if ownership commitment cannot be met.
