Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Thank you for considering one of our adoptable dogs available through our rescue in Jackson,TN! All of our dogs have been rescued from the West Tennessee area. The majority are dogs that were scheduled to be euthanized at the local high kill facility. The rest are either dogs that were intercepted before entering the facility, or dogs that have been surrendered to us by owners who can no longer care for them and ask us to find them a wonderful new family. All of our dogs are fostered in private homes in Tennessee. We have no facility or fosters in the Pennsylvania area, therefore we are unable to facilitate a meeting before adoption. However, once we have your adoption application we will have the foster contact you about the dog you are considering and will give you an honest assessment of the temperament and training. If you decide that you would like to adopt, the dog will be delivered to your area via licensed pet transport after adoption is final. Our next transport date is January 9th. To make that transport list, all adoptions will need to be finalized by January 1st to allow time for their final vet exam and health certificate. The cost for adoption, unless otherwise noted, is $350 which includes all vetting (spay/neuter, all vaccinations and age appropriate tests, microchip) and all transport costs.
Layla, like all of our dogs, is fostered in Tennessee. Should you have an interest in adopting her, you will be given complete and honest information about her temperament. You will have access to her foster so that you may ask questions. If you decide that she is the right dog for you, she will be brought to you via licensed pet transport.
Beautiful Layla was pulled from a high kill shelter where she was discovered shaking in distress and pain. Her primary health issue was advanced demodectic mange. It was a slow recovery but with the tender care of her foster family, she has been restored to complete health.
Layla is a fun loving clown! She is always ready to romp and play with her human and canine friends. From the moment she first meets you she will be your bff, especially if you heed her begging for a belly rub! In fact the biggest problem you will have with her is keeping her in an upright position as the girl lives for belly rubs!! She is a great snuggler and is very gentle when taking treats from your hand. Layla knows her basic commands, she is leash trained, house trained and comfortable being crated for reasonable time periods.
Her beautiful blue brindle coloring will turn heads wherever you take her and her sweet disposition and excellent manners will make fans of even the skeptics.
Layla does not do well with cats and therefore no home with a resident cat will be considered.
If you love the bully breeds and want one that needs virtually no work to be ready to join any family, then Layla is your girl.
