Meet Hope!
Three months ago Animal Control seized Hope from her owner. She had been living in a small crate in a barn for over a year.
When Animal Control walked in to the barn she was in the crate covered in her own feces and urine, bald, her skin looked horrific, and you could just tell she was miserable. In spite of all this, she looked up at them and wagged her tail - which is how she got her name. After that day, the volunteers at Hampshire County Animal Control in Paw Paw, WV pooled their money to get Hope the immediate medical care that she needed and then worked tirelessly to find her a safe refuge.
Hope's time was running out at the shelter and Jasmine's House just couldn't turn her plea down. Hope is safe in foster care now, healing up nicely!
Hope is about 2 years old, up to date on shots, and awaiting the ok from the vet to be spayed (she will be spayed before she's adopted). She does very well with other dogs, but does like to chase cats a bit too much, so she would do best in a kitty-free home.
To adopt Hope, please fill out an application at www.jasmineshouse.org
Hope, American Pit Bull Terrier Mix has been shared from Shelter Exchange.
