Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Located in Hawthorne FL
Opal is what we can call a mature girl, we estimated that she can be 5-7 years old, fully vetted, HW neg. Her foster mom says " she is simply AWESOME !! Housebroken, great on leash, listens great off leash to just voice commands. We never use a leash here for her she is so well behaved. Quiet, housebroken and very sweet. Opal is big/small dog friendly. Does not like cats. ...She likes car rides, is great in stores. She is afraid of storms, during one, she just needs to be side with a radio on. Is not destructive during one. She is an easy going girl". Opal was at the Putnam County Shelter 3 yrs ago. An independent so called rescuer took her and was suppose to find a home for her. She turned out to me more of a hoarder. Opal was made to live outside in a pen for two years, even during storms. She was rescued from the hoarder when a neighbor complained to the county about the number of dogs (100) the lady had on her property and she was made to give them up.
If would you like to give Opal the chance to know what it feels to have her own family, please visit www.ggarr.org to fill out an application!
