Hello, my name is Laverne (at least that's what the folks at the shelter called me...)

I'm a 1-2 yr old smooth coat, female JRT; I have long, graceful legs, my coat is white with black, and my tail is docked. Oh, and I have beautiful brown eyes!

I ended up in a shelter after being found running loose in the streets. No one ever came to claim me, so I was sent into rescue; now I'm looking for my forever home!

I'm such a sweet girl, very gentle and loving...I'm a little shy at first, but please understand how hard it is to be homeless, then moved from place to place! ...I'm housetrained and crate-trained, and I'm getting along GREAT with all the other dogs here in rescue, but what I really want and need is a home of my own. When I get really excited, I walk around on my two back legs...it's like I sort of forget I'm a dog, and think I'm a person!

I'm a happy, sweet girl, and I'm ready to give my heart to someone forever, so if you think you'd like to adopt me, please fill out an application (see the instructions below) right away! I'm ready for a home!
