Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Update on Charlie: Yeah for Charlie, he is out of the kennel and in his forever home. He was adopted by an experienced owner that is going to help him get past his shyness with new people. They have advised he is getting better and better each day!
My name is Charlie and I am a 2 year old Chow Chow Labrador Cross male.
I get along great with other animals and I have good social skills in the doggie part. I love going to the off-leash park to play with other dogs. Whenever I am bothered by ther dogs in teh park I just move away and do something else. I walk fairly well on a leash. I also know some commands like shake a paw and sit.
As like other Chow Chows I am very protective of my household, I have been taught to stay behind an imaginary line when people come to the door.
My daily routine consists of long, loose-leash walks in the morning to do my business and a shorter walk afer supper. I really don't like to be touched or pet but once I like you then you can wrestle with me and play with me all you want without any issues.
Due to the impending arrival of a new baby I have to find a new home. I do have some trust issues with people but with some training the problem can be resolved fairly easily.
UPDATE Charlie has been surrendered to Mississauga Humane Society by his family as they could not keep him any longer. He is currently staying in a shelter due to no foster's available for him. He is scared to death and showing his teeth. He desperately needs an experienced foster or adoptee that can help him through is behavioiurs of being scared. Once he trusts you he will be your best friend.
