My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rudee is about 10 yrs. old but he certainly doesn't act like it. He is active and playful. He is great around other dogs, cats, and children. He is very laid back and a complete cuddle bug. He will cuddle with you for as long as you pet him, and as soon as you stop he will curl up beside you and go to sleep.

Rudee is blind due to cataracts, but is completely adjusted to it. He figured out the layout of my house very quickly, and even learned the stairs. He is crate trained. We are working on his walking on a leash since he seems to have had a yard before and didn't go for walks. He pulls, and, for such a little guy, he is amazingly strong! But he does tire out quickly and then you find that it's YOU doing the pulling to get him home! I have noticed he has to walk a bit before going to the bathroom, or, if he has a fenced yard, he will go on his own. He won't go if I stand in the yard with him on the leash.

Rudee is quiet and only barks at the normal things a dog would bark at - but he will stop when told. He loves to sleep in the bed but it is not a requirement for him. He does just fine on his dog bed as well. He gives you your space and sleeps through the night. He is very sweet and gentle and makes such a great companion. I have enjoyed fostering him but am hopeful he will find his furever home soon. He is ready to get settled and live out the rest of his years happy.
