Meet Our Sweet Heather!

Heather is a darling 6 month old Border Collie Mix puppy who is about 15 lbs right now and should top out at 40-45 lbs max. She is a very sweet puppy who wants nothing more than to sit on your lap and adore you.

She is and active and attentive pup who insists upon belly rubs and cuddles. She gets along with dogs and lives happily with cats.

Heather's story reads like a Dickens novel. She was thrown over the gate of the WSPA of Guatemala, starving and underweight. They nursed her back to health and after a month she became very ill again with what turned out to be Ecoli. Again, she was in critical care being hand fed by volunteers. Finally she was feeling better and an American woman sponsored her to come to the USA in hopes of finding a better home. Poor thing got stuck in customs in a crate for days and now that she has arrived she is finally feeling better. She would love to find her forever home. Since she was hand fed, she bonds quickly with her owner. She is from the country side so needs some work understanding about city life.

Heather is from the WSPA in Guatemala. A few times a year, we bring up pups for a shot at a better life as there is no one to adopt down there. Heather is one of the lucky few!

Due to the expensive nature of animal rescue work, we request a tax deductible donation, all of which is returned to the shelter in Guatemala. Heather is spayed, up to date on all shots and ready to find her forever home.
