Here's what the humans have to say about me:
UPDATED BIO 11/3/2013: Molly is a 6.5 month old 5 lb 4 oz yorkiepoo. She is being fostered in Davie, FL. She came to us very sick but she is now a healthy playful puppy. She was just spayed and is doing great after the surgery. This little girl has quite a personality. She is independent and can be stubborn and oh so loving. She doesn't like to be held unless she thinks you are leaving and going to take her. She loves to sit on your lap when she is done playing. In the middle of the night you will find her huddled against your body or lying on your pillow next to your head. During the day she will either play with her fur sister, find a toy to chew or just sleep on your lap. Molly is a friendly gal who likes everyone including the household cat; they even play together. She rides well in the car and walks well on a leash. She continues to go wee wee on pads in the house but will also go outside and do her business. Every so often, mostly in the morning she has an accident but foster mom is working on this. She is a smart little girl and has learned early on to 'sit' and now knows the word 'cookie' so when she gets too involved with investigating, she is easily found. Molly's ideal home is one where she has a playmate and a parent who works from home. If she doesn't have a playmate you should be ready for long walks to use up her energy. Due to her size she can only go to a home with children over the age of 12 years old.
UPDATED BIO 08/19/2013: MOLLY is an adorable yorkie-poo who is now only one week away from being 5 months old ~she currently weighs 3 lbs 2 oz; she is being fostered in Davie, FL.
Hi Molly here – Not sure if I told you this before but I'm ready for my forever home. Don't get me wrong… FM and UYR saved my life, thanks to hard work and people like you who donated to my medical bills ~ but it's time. I think I overstayed my welcome and FM wants me to bond with my new family. My hair is growing in nicely and my legs are brindle, with black interspersed. My paws are suddenly getting bigger, so I may actually be 4-5 lbs before I quit growing.
I'm big and strong now and I'm eating kibbles twice a day and FM gives me broccoli – which I am crazy about. FM said that I am not a puppy for the “faint of heart” whatever that means! I think it means that I am a very active and playful puppy, so you need to be prepared for all my puppy shenanigans!
I use my wee-wee pads for potty 1 and 2. I still go off-track sometimes, but not too often. I felt grass for the first time today and don't like it much, but I know I will get used to it and go potty like a big girl real soon.
I love to play so I need a family who has another playful puppy so I will have a companion. When I'm tired, I like a nice lap to sleep on. I get lonely when you leave me and I don't do very well in a crate, but FM tries to be strong, even though I cry and screech (that’s for effect). I would like it if you worked from home or could take me wherever you go. I'm very social and think everyone in the stores want to say hello to me.
So……. here's a recap, I need a playmate and a parent who is home with me or doesn't leave me too often. Please ~ no kids under 14 years old – I'm still too small.
Hope to hear from you soon. Love Molly aka Mouse.
UPDATED BIO 07/12/2013: Molly is a 3 month old 1.8 lb little yorkiepoo pup who is being fostered in Davie, FL.
This is what FM has to say about Molly:
If you are looking for a puppy that you can take wherever you go, gives lots of kisses Molly is the gal for you. Molly's ideal home is with someone who has time to dedicate to a tiny puppy and have another small pup (nice but not necessary). Molly will light up your life and make you giggle. Molly is 13 weeks and less than 2 lbs; small is an understatement. She is a typical puppy, running, playing, chewing on toys and sleeping. She alternates between kibble and chicken with barley and is a pretty good eater. She loves to play with other pups but can play independently or can play with you. This is a rough and tumble girlie. Molly is 90-95% potty trained to wee pads. She has not been on the grass or been on outside ground as we were unable to get her UTD on vaccines due to how sick she was. She is to get vaccinated in steps starting in a week or so. Molly is a sweet animated girl who will wiggle her whole body when FD comes home from work. Although she is independent and travels to another room to play, she does not like to be left alone (another pup would help). She will sleep in a soft crate on FM's bed and only cries when she wants to tell you something.
UPDATED BIO 07/05/2013: Molly is continuing to progress well. This little girl is going in to see the vet this evening for blood work. We'll keep you posted.
She is doing well. Here's what her foster parents had to say:
Molly is a doll. She's still up at night, but now we wait for her to wake usup. We are going to try to set up a playpen so she can be more independent at night, and of course, so we can sleep!! :) She is eating a combination of kibble and AD (mixed with water). She is on her way to being potty trained but not 100%. She makes poopoo on her own. She is roaming the floor with us watching her, and she will return to wee pad to do her business. She is up to 1lb 12 oz on my scale. Thanks for reading about this princess!!
UPDATED BIO 07/01/2013: Hi Molly here! I'm now 1 lb 9 oz and still being fostered in Davie, FL! :) I hear UYR is taking applications for my adoption; so, I thought it best if I let them know what type of family I am looking for.
Not only am I beautiful, but I am tiny and delicate. I am proud to say that my Dogter said I was a "Brat" but she was smiling when she said it. I require lots of attention. Yes, lots. I am what you would call a handful even if I am 1 lb. 9 ozs.
I really need a stay at home mom or dad who can give me lots of love and make sure I eat. I don't know how to go to the food bowl and I don't have the patience to eat my meal at one sitting. Right now FM mushes up a prescription diet (soft food) with water and puts it in the palm of her hand to feed me. During the day I eat around every 2-3 hours. At night I still wake up 2-3 times a night to eat and/or to pee or poop. FM is hoping I grow out of this and get on a 'normal' schedule but being I was so sick it might take a while.
I enjoy the company of my fur sister so another little pup around I can play, follow and learn from would be ideal. FM has an 8 month old puppy who is 7 lbs so she has to watch that she doesn't play rough with me but otherwise I so enjoy another pup around.
Since I am tiny, I can get underfoot and into trouble so roaming the house is not ideal. That means I'm always next to you. I don't like to be left in a crate and watch the world go by, I prefer a nice view from a lap. FM is trying to get me used to being alone for an hour or so; sometimes she tries to leave me in a crate. I cry for 20 min but then I fall asleep, but I have to tell you, I am not happy about it. I am not a hyper puppy but I do enjoy a toy and love to chew and bite – I'm teething.
I give little signals that I have to go pee or poo and sometimes I need help with the poo part. A girl doesn't like to talk about these things but sometimes I can't push the poo out and FM has to give me a little squeeze. I did pretty good this evening.
OK, enough about me. Let's hear about you!!....... in the form of an adoption application! xoxo - Molly
UPDATED BIO 06/30/2013: Hi Molly here! I'm in Davie, FL waiting for you! Wow, do you believe what's happened to me in the last two weeks? Honestly, the odds were against me, but with your love and prayers, we got our miracle. I do NOT have a liver shunt. I am off low protein food. I am off lactulose. My Dogtor thinks my extreme illness was related to medications I received at the vet before I came to UYR. Isn't that PAWSOME!!!!! If you saw me you would think I am an 8 week old pup but I'm about 12 weeks now. FM put me on a food scale - she told me she doesn't weigh my food anymore. She thinks I'm up to a svelt 1.5 lbs. I eat out of her hand every 2 hours. Nights I go a bit longer, but I wake her up instead of her waking me up..... pay back! I like to chew and play with toys, but I'm pretty mellow. I also like my maltese friend who is 8 months old. I don't like to be without my foster mom but little by little I'm getting used to it. My red blood cells are low so we have to go back to the dogtor until they come up. I'm on an iron supplement. I am hoping to be ready in 6 weeks.. Keep those prayers coming. Signing off right now need my beauty rest.
UPDATED BIO 06/25/2013: Molly is doing great! Other than her FM still having to syringe feed her, she acts like a young puppy. She woke her foster parents up early to play and tried to play tug of war with their other puppy who is 7 lbs..... so the game was over quickly!! :)
Now that she is feeling better, FM is working on getting Molly eat on her own. She has an appointment with her vet on Thursday to try to collect blood again and see if she is headed in the right direction. We feel really good though :).
UPDATED BIO 06/22/2013: Little Molly had a rough day with a WONDERFUL evening. This tiny girl at 1.1 lbs had a rough morning. She went for blood tests to see if she has a liver shunt. Unfortunately her veins are so delicate that we could not get blood. As we have no time to waste, we needed a Plan B... Molly was started on Lactulose given to pups who can't digest protein and started on a prescription diet.
Foster mom is SO happy to report that after eating, instead of falling asleep, Molly started licking and then biting foster mom's fingers. Foster mom remembered the stuffed toy surrendered with her. To her joy, Molly proceeded to chew on it and play with it. Keeping our fingers crossed that we are on the right track. Thank you everyone. We are saving up for what we think Molly is going to need.... a $2000 surgery for liver shunt.
UPDATED BIO 06/21/2013: Molly is a 10 week old 1.5 baby Morkie who is one sick little pup. Since Molly appears to get worse after feedings, we are working her up for a liver shunt. Her tiny body is just so sick. We are hoping that with medicine and a low protein diet, we can optimize her for surgery if it is indeed indicated.
United Yorkie Rescue needs your help desperately. Our funds are rapidly depleting with our financially needy pups. We are hoping our 8,000 Facebook fans can help Molly. Thank you to all who have sent their positive thoughts.
Please stay tuned as we find out more.
INITIAL BIO 06/19/2013: Meet Molly. Molly needs a miracle. She is only 10 weeks old and weighs barely 1.5 lbs. She was surrendered by her owners who couldn't afford her care.
Molly is lethargic, not eating, and her lab work is horrible. She has dangerously low white blood cells and platelets, putting her at risk for spontaneous hemorrhage and sepsis. Sadly, this little girl already has an infection. She never had vaccines. Our wonderful vets are working with us to save this girl. Her foster mom feeds her every two hours. We are hopeful, but her prognosis is poor. Please keep Molly in your prayers. We are trying to save her life. Any donations would be appreciated.
