Red's owner recently got a 3rd dog - the 3rd dog attacked Red and instead of re-homing the new dog he tied Red up down the street from Mount Vernon Animal Shelter for them to take care of his injuries. Red's eye had to be surgically removed on Wednesday (July 3, 2013) and he was neutered as well - despite this Red keeps smiling and loves giving kisses as if nothing was wrong at all. He is one of the sweetest dogs at the shelter and would make the perfect companion for someone looking for pet full of love. Will you be the one to open your heart?
