Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Willie was rescued from the Sacramento County Shelter. He had a pretty severe case of Demodex and needed treatment immediately. Willie has been recovering in foster care for almost 2 months and is now ready for adoption! Willie is about 2 years old and is doing great in his foster home! This is what Willie's foster family has to say about him:
Willie is quite the little charmer. His ridiculous good looks are just the beginning of what is wonderful about this sweet boy. He has a gentle and playful spirit. He’s quick to learn; learned to sit in the first 20 minutes we had him and “stay” in one day – he is toy motivated more than treat motivated. He is well-behaved and house trained (sure, there is the occasional release of gas but what dog doesn't do that?)
He loves to play fetch with anything you can throw and will “drop it” so you can throw again. He thoroughly enjoys playing with toys and readily shares his chew bones and toys with our dog Georgia – they love to chase each other around the yard keeping the toy from the other. He loves tug-of-war with anybody, including Georgia.
He has been a great playmate for our dog and they love to “wrestle” and chase each other. When the dogs do the lazy wrestle (on the floor or bed) he has a funny little seal laugh and squeaky noise that he makes. He is quite the snuggle buddy as well!
He is great in the crate and never puts up a fuss when it is time to go in. He hangs out in the crate while we are at work and when we come home, he’s patiently waiting and remains lying down until you open his crate door. He is also house trained.
He is a very active dog, loves his daily walks and enjoys being part of our “pack”. He is very “interested” in squirrels, cats and crows and would probably be best in a home with no cats. He will need a home that will spend time with him playing, walking and exercising him. He truly enjoys hanging with family and will sometimes follow you around the house. He likes meeting people too.
