Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Our rescue vet asked that we take this fellow and find him a great home. He had come in as a patient with a broken leg and left in a splint with instructions and required follow up visits to the vet. Unfortunately, when he was FINALLY brought back, he had an infection loaded with maggots and his split was no longer effective. The vet has checked him regularly and his leg is strong and shouldn't be a problem in the future.
Chester is aprx. 8 mo. old and is what we believe to be a lab/border collie mix. He weighs about 45 pounds and should top out around the 60 # range. He has been restricted to a crate and on leash activity only. Chester is now allowed to run and play like any other dog and he no longer has a limp. He is friendly and outgoing due to his many visits to the vet. He hasn't met a stranger and should be a wonderful family dog - with older children. He could use a puppy class to learn the basics, but he does walk nicely on a leash and is very, very willing to please.

Chester is UTD on shots, HW negative and on flea/HW preventative. He is neutered. He has not been around cats, but with a slow, supervised intro, he should be fine. He is sweet and affectionate.
Chester is in foster care in East Tennessee and will be transported north upon adoption. An adoption fee of $275.00 will apply in addition to the transport fee via Alpha Dog Transport. They charge $125 which is paid to them when you claim your pup at one of their scheduled stops. All vet/shot records will be handed off with your pup too.
