Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi, my name is Sandie and I am about 2 years old. My foster mom said my dad was a Golden Retriever and my mom was Bassett/Beagle mix. I am really just too polite to correct her, because I am convinced I am really a knight in shining armor. I know that strange vehicles are really invading armies in disguise and must be chased (my foster mom keeps me in a fenced yard because of this, which is a real bummer)! If I am on sentry, I will always alert my owner by barking if a stranger comes into our kingdom. I also feel that moles are really dragons and being a good knight, I will dig my way into their lair and kill them! I find that other female dogs are jealous of me because I am so pretty and such a wonderful knight, so I sometimes have to boss them around. My foster mom calls it being the "Alpha", but I like to call it micro-managing. I am friendly to people and most animals. My special talent is speaking the ancient language of the birds. I do this by snapping my jaws while making a chirping sound. Can you speak the ancient language of the birds as well? On my off time, I love to play fetch and splash in the water.
When you talk to my foster mom, she will tell you I was adopted as a baby from the Marion County Humane Society, but was dropped off to the county contractor about a year later. I was lucky that my first mom sent me with all my adoption and vet paperwork, because the contractor contacted the nice people at MCHS and they came and got me. I have been with my foster mom since. I would really like to stay, but she said there are other fur-babies that need fostering and I am to great of a dog not to have a family of my own.
So if you are a Queen or King of a kingdom that is in need of a superior knight, contact MCHS and let's meet. I will have a ball ready to play fetch when you get here.
