My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Champion Is Definitely A Winner

You can’t get much cuter than 11 month old Champion. He was surrendered to our Rescue because his family was not prepared to care for the needs of a young energetic puppy.

Champion was left in a laundry room throughout the work day. He was given some attention when the family was home in the evening, however, he was once again banished to the laundry room to sleep for the night. Anyone with boxer experience who is reading this can understand how Champion would not be a good match for this family.

Boxer puppies require a lot of attention and they will develop behavior issues if their needs are not met. Champion is no exception. Since he was left alone for most of the day he started to be destructive. He also would bark when he wanted to be near his people. These “issues” will disappear quickly when he settles into a suitable environment.

Champion is an affectionate, sweet, happy go lucky guy. He wants nothing more than to be close to his people and lavish them with attention. He will require a family who can reciprocate in kind.

Poor Champion is still in the boarding kennel because we have been unable to find a good match for him. He is still a puppy, a very big puppy, and needs lots of attention and positive direction. He is a happy dog and has taken his stay at the kennel in stride.

Champion will need a home that understands the high energy needs of a boxer puppy and he will need a securely fenced yard (no electric fences). Although we are anxious to place Champion in a home, it would be counter productive to put him in a situation that is not ideal for his needs.
