Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Farfel's is so thrilled that we had the opportunity to rescue Petunia! What a special girl she is....she possesses a very unique temperament for a young pup. She's just about 15 months old and weighs approximately 17 lbs.. and is completely wonderful! The following is what Petunia's foster mom has to say:
Petunia is a very, very sweet puppy. She is a terrier mix with longer legs and a cute curled tail. She is excellent with other dogs and kids. She loves tennis balls and stuffed animals. She knows sit, down, wait, okay, no bite, and leave it, and walks very well on a leash. She loves to follow you around the house and can't get enough of sitting in your lap and sleeping with you in bed. She learns very quickly if enough repetition is provided. Due to Petunia's very early life, her coat was in sad shape...now with salmon oil on her food and great nutrition..Petunia's coat is gorgeous and she barely sheds! Petunia crates well and is virtually potty trained but needs to go out frequently (which serves her love of hiking, playing and fun). She does get a bit nervous when she can't be with her person..therefore a home where her person is present a lot would be best - active retirees or stay at home individuals with loving kids would be great. Petunia is extremely kind and loves new visitors to the house. She truly enjoys her toys and will offer them to new friends. Petunia is overjoyed with new adventures ( and very well-behaved)...she travels very well in the car. A crate is suggested for safety for both Petunia and the driver. I just love this girl and she'd be a gift to any dog-loving family!
The other important element that is so a part of Petunia is her love of life...her joy and appreciation knows no bounds! As a result of this positive attitude, she's very fun to be with. She always means well and is a lesson in letting go of a painful past and rising to meet every new challenge with a wagging tail and a smile.
Petunia is being fostered in Denver. Applications are currently being accepted and Meet and Greets being set up for this devoted and sweet companion.
